Japan's leading diversified materials manufacturer Nitto Denko Corporation has been ranked 14th in
the 2011 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations, the company announced today. Although it was the
first time Nitto Denko was selected for inclusion in the list, the company has achieved the No.1 among
19 Japan-based peers which also made it to the Global 100.
The Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World is an annual project initiated by Corporate
Knights, Canada's prestigious magazine dediated to the clean capitalism around the world. From a
global universe of 3,500 stocks, the world's best 100 sustainability and financial performers are
ranked by key performance indicators based on environmental, social, governance and financial data.
Launched in 2005, the annual Global 100 is announced each year during the World Economic Forum in
Davos.
